What is a Bash (Bike Hash)?

A Bash is a Hash on a bike!
A Bash is a mainly off-road mountain bike ride following a trail marked out with blobs
of flour (or possibly sawdust). The route follows quiet roads, country lanes,
bridleways or permissive tracks and may go in any direction from a junction (a
‘check’). At a junction the faster riders check-out the correct route then mark it and
call “On On” for the slower riders to follow. This, ideally, allows to slower riders to
keep up with the faster ones.

Wallingford

Wallingford is a pretty market
town on the river Thames between Reading and Oxford with great pubs, cafes,
antique shops, walks and its own heritage train line It is close to the Ridgeway and on the Thames Path with great rides,
walks and country pubs in the area.
